Green & Gold
Last month, I joined up with a few other vendors to host a St. Patrick's Day shoot, inspired by Pantone's color of the year: Greenery.
We held the shoot at The Lighthouse - a venue I adore! This styled shoot gives me inspiration for many weddings and even a sweet elopement ceremony and I hope it inspires you too.
I used our gold velvet linens to highlight the actual greenery we used in the shoot and to compliment the gorgeous, mint green invitations as well as the gold accessories throughout the shoot. Don't be afraid to mix different shades of the same color as long as it looks intentional and not like they just didn't match! The pops of gold here helps tie the darker green of the florals and the mint together.
The golden candlesticks next to the gold velvet is a glamorous combination for any wedding - even this intimate ceremony! The velvet tablescape with the gold flatware adds an extra luxurious feel to the setting.
Speaking of tablescapes - we chatted about table runners last week and I love this combination we used here with a mint cloth and sparkly runner to add a little further interest to the table. Mixing linen textures is a great way to tie colors and themes together without looking repetitive.

What is your favorite way to mix linen textures? Would you use two shades of the same color like in this shoot?

Vendor Spotlight: The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is hosting an open house on March 12 and we're so excited to be taking part of it with our linens. Since it's coming up so soon, we wanted to take a chance to feature their amazing venue!
For any Bay Area, CA brides, this venue should definitely be on your list - and they make it so easy with their inclusive packaging.
This gorgeous historical venue has been gracefully renovated from a functional lighthouse into a full inn.
You know I will never highlight anything I don't personally love, but this venue is special: my family and I hosted our own baby shower here a few years ago!
There are spectacular views of the water, with waterfront reception rooms.
There are even waterfront ceremony gardens, if you're looking for an outdoor venue, with such a peaceful view!
Over the years, I have used The Lighthouse several times when designing events and shoots. I keep going back!
(The photos below feature our sequin tablecloths and various runners.)
From the website:
"Over the past several years, the current marina and Lighthouse owner has invested countless hours, heart, and money into renovating the building and surrounding marina to be what it is today: Northern California's most unique and scenic, waterfront wedding/events venue and Inn."
Interested in finding out more about the Inn? Come see us during the open house on March 12th!
